A ribbed lounge top in a modal blend, cut close to the body with long sleeves and a scoop neck.
Clothes worn at home get more hours than anything else in the closet and are usually the last things anyone buys on purpose. That is backwards.
Why this lounge top?
- Modal blend: modal is made from beech pulp and is spun finer than cotton, which is what gives this rib its drape.
- Narrow rib: the rib is worked fine rather than chunky, so the top reads as a knit rather than as thermal underwear.
- Scoop neck: the neckline is cut wide and shallow, sitting below the collarbone without slipping off the shoulder.
- Long sleeve: the sleeve runs past the wrist bone and can be pushed up without losing the cuff.
- Layer or alone: thin enough to sit under a cardigan and finished enough to be worn on its own.
Ideal for:
Women who spend most of the day at home and want the clothes that get the most wear to be the ones that fit best. It works for a desk, a school pickup and an evening on the couch.
Is it thin?
It is a lightweight rib. Opaque in every color, but designed to layer rather than to keep you warm on its own.
Does it shrink?
Modal is stable in a cold wash. Heat is what shortens it, so a low dryer or air drying is better.
How close is the fit?
Close through the body with stretch. Sizing up gives a relaxed drape if you prefer that.
